The companion to the evening adhkar: remembrances for the start of the day, recited after Fajr. Each entry shows its Arabic, transliteration, translation and source.
A'udhu billahi minash-shaytanir-rajim.
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed. Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Virtue
Whoever recites this when he rises in the morning will be protected from the jinn until evening.
Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim. Qul huwa Allahu ahad. Allahus-samad. Lam yalid wa lam yulad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent.
Virtue
Reciting these three chapters three times morning and evening suffices you against all things.
Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim. Qul a'udhu bi-rabbil-falaq. Min sharri ma khalaq. Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab. Wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-'uqad. Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He created, and from the evil of darkness when it settles, and from the evil of the blowers in knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.
Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim. Qul a'udhu bi-rabbin-nas. Malikin-nas. Ilahin-nas. Min sharril-waswasil-khannas. Alladhi yuwaswisu fi sudurin-nas. Minal-jinnati wan-nas.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers in the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind.
Rabbi a'udhu bika minal-kasali wa su'il-kibar. Rabbi a'udhu bika min 'adhabin fin-nari wa 'adhabin fil-qabr.
We have entered the morning and the dominion belongs to Allah; all praise is for Allah. There is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day and the good of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the misery of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me — for none forgives sins except You.
Virtue
The chief of supplications for forgiveness. Whoever says it during the day with firm conviction and dies that day before evening will be among the people of Paradise.
O Allah, grant me wellbeing in my body. O Allah, grant me wellbeing in my hearing. O Allah, grant me wellbeing in my sight. There is no god but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You.
Asbahna 'ala fitratil-Islam, wa 'ala kalimatil-ikhlas, wa 'ala dini Nabiyyina Muhammadin sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, wa 'ala millati abina Ibrahima hanifan musliman wa ma kana minal-mushrikin.
We have entered the morning upon the natural way of Islam, upon the word of sincere devotion, upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and upon the way of our father Ibrahim, who was upright, a Muslim, and not of those who associate partners with Allah.

Glory and praise be to Allah
Recite ×100
Subhanallahi wa bihamdih.
Glory is to Allah, and praise is to Him.
Virtue
Whoever says it a hundred times a day will have his sins forgiven, even if they were like the foam of the sea.
